A functional art component is coming to Inglewood Bird Sanctuary as part of park upgrades to improve the health of the lagoon, celebrate the history of the site, restore fish habitat, and prevent erosion in this delicate and important area.
You're invited to join The City of Calgary and our funding partners at a community event to celebrate the completion of the Inglewood Bird Sanctuary Reconnection project.
Enjoy guided tours of improvements, speeches and an overview of the new integrated art feature – the Log Jam pedestrian crossing – by artist Tim Knowles.
As you experience the autumn beauty of this urban sanctuary, learn about how the recent upgrades have helped to repair flood damage and erosion, improve water quality and restore habitats for the birds, fish and other animals that call the park home.
