Sport Calgary is hosting their Annual Free Day of Sport Discovery. Partnering with dozens of community sport groups, we work to provide youth with the chance to try a new sport and discover a new passion.
With your help, we can get more kids active and playing sport at one of our Multisport Hubs across the city!
Goals
Provide opportunities for children to discover a new sport and the joy of being active.
Connect families with facilities, sport programs, and sport organizations.
Build appreciation for the importance of Physical Literacy and multi-sport participation.
Event Day Timeline
8:00am – Volunteers Arrive, Meet your Team, Set-Up,
9:30am - Check-In Begins
10:00am - 3:00pm - Sessions Take Place
2:15pm - Begin tear-down.
What Are the Main Roles?
Volunteers will be greeting and checking-in participants, helping with directions, managing on-site drop-in registrations and session waitlists, along with distributing All Sport One Day t-shirts and name tags.
Qualifications
Looking for high energy, outgoing individuals who are comfortable interacting with
the public.
Volunteers must be at least 12 years of age.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Passion for sport and recreation
All volunteers will receive an All Sport One Day t-shirt as a token of appreciation!
