Inglewood Station is part of The City of Calgary’s Integrated Civic Facility Planning (ICFP) Program, which delivers multi-service and mixed use facilities on City-owned land. This site was acquired by The City in 1986 (fully assembled in 2010) for use as an Emergency Response Station. In the 2019-2022 budget cycle, the Calgary Fire Department received funding for a new Fire Station in Inglewood. Following a public Request for Proposals process, RNDSQR and their multi-disciplinary project team emerged as the highest rated proponent chosen to work with The City to deliver the new Fire Station as part of an Integrated Mixed Use Facility.
In January 2023, the enabling Land Use Redesignation application received unanimous Council approval, allowing the Development Permit application to proceed.
