Have your say: Help shape Ramsay's future

The City of Calgary has kicked off Phase 1 for the South Bow Communities Local Area Plan.

A Local Area Plan (LAP) is a long-term blueprint that guides how our community grows and changes: where new housing and shops could go, how tall buildings can be, and what improvements we want for parks, pathways, and getting around. In short, the decisions made here will shape Ramsay for the next generation. This is our chance to get on the record early, while the plan is still taking shape.

How to weigh in

Online: Review the maps and share your ideas anytime at engage.calgary.ca/SouthBow/ENVISION.

In person or virtually:

  • Open House — Thursday, June 11, 6:00–8:00 p.m. Drop in anytime, no registration needed. City of Calgary Water Centre (625 25 Ave SE), Bow River Meeting Room. Free parking on site. (That's a short hop from Ramsay — easy to swing by.)

  • Conversation Series — Tuesday, June 16 & Thursday, June 25 at the Inglewood Bird Sanctuary (2425 9 Ave SE). Registration required.

  • Virtual Session — Monday, June 22, 12:00–1:00 p.m. Registration required.

Prefer paper? Engagement booklets were mailed to homes and businesses starting the week of June 2. Didn't get one? Grab the digital version or pick one up at a nearby Engagement Station.

Why it's worth 20 minutes

Public input genuinely helps shape the plan as it's written—it's one of the key inputs the City weighs alongside policy and professional expertise. The more Ramsay voices in the mix, the better our neighbourhood is represented when the big decisions get made.
