containR is coming to Inglewood!

We want to share this exciting news with the BIA of Inglewood and Ramsay and to emphasize that we are eager to collaborate, partner and contribute to the incredible vibrancy of the community.

containR is a placemaking art park structured with upcycled shipping containers. We are a space for hosting intrepid ideas, unforgettable performances and remarkable artistic voices, weaving public space into urban life as a nexus where people can share experiences, create, play, and be exposed to the rich tapestry of expression that makes up Calgary. In this way our operations at containR create a uniquely vibrant and diverse center of creative connection nestled within Calgary's cultural fabric, and now, the heart of Inglewood!

Expressions of interest are open for rentals and for artists/makers for our 2026 season in our new purpose-built space across from the Esker foundation on the south west corner of 9th and 9th. We will host activities from June 17 - Sept 13, with the possibility to also collaborate outside our usual season!

Timeline of events:

• Our site move will be complete March 10! Check out the final placement of the c-cans after then.

• We are currently fundraising for site development, including upgrades to technical equipment and outdoor furniture to make the space beautiful and functional

• In the spring our new retractable shade structure will be installed along with a 16x20 foot sprung floor stage

• containR Fest will kick off our festivities on June 17 with a week of music, theatre and family-friendly programming

• For July and August you can expect 1-4 events on the site each week throughout the summer!
