Take part in the City Nature Challenge from April 26th to 29th!
This global initiative encourages people to connect with nature by documenting wild plants and animals in their yards, neighborhoods, and favorite parks.
Simply snap photos of the biodiversity you encounter from April 26th to 29th and upload them to the iNaturalist app or iNaturalist.ca before May 5th. Over 500 cities worldwide will compete to see which can make the most observations, document the most species, and engage the most people. The global and national results will be shared on May 6th. This marks Calgary's sixth annual event, and whether you're a seasoned naturalist or just starting out, your contributions are crucial for supporting research on the urban ecology of our communities while showcasing our local biodiversity to the world.
