The Ramsay Community Association is creating a new Stampede/Canada Day Event Safety Committee to help address community concerns related to parking and safety during Calgary Stampede and Canada Day events. We’re looking for Ramsay Community Association members who want to make a difference in how these major events impact our neighbourhood.
Committee goals:
Gather input from residents and businesses
Prepare recommendations to share with the Board and community partners (aiming to have recommendations to share with community partners by Spring 2026)
Collaborate with community partners such as the Calgary Parking Authority, City of Calgary, and Calgary Police Service
Volunteer expectations:
Meet once a month from now until Spring 2026 (location and times TBD, but likely online in an evening)

As you’re aware, Stampede and Canada Day are significant for both our community and local businesses We are seeking volunteers from a range of backgrounds and perspectives. Whether you’re a longtime resident, a business owner, or simply someone who cares about safety and community wellbeing, your input is valuable.
Together, we can ensure Ramsay is safe, welcoming, and prepared for this year’s celebrations!
