Hello Community Member,

I hope you're doing well. I wanted to share Resilient Hearts as a valuable resource for families. We are currently accepting applications for Life Skills Day Program and Respite Services.

Resilient Hearts is a community service organization founded in October 2023, which aims to empower young adults with developmental disabilities by equipping them with essential skills for independent living. Our mission is to uplift individuals to realize their own potential and our vision is resilient communities. Our services offerings include life skills day program and onsite respite services to support individuals and their caregivers in Calgary and surrounding areas.

Our programs are designed to:

• Provide hands-on life skills like cooking, cleaning, baking, grocery shopping, budgeting, and many more.
• Equip young adults with knowledge, skills and awareness about communication, social skills and self-advocacy topics for greater independence and autonomy.
• Promote personal growth through arts& crafts, peer connections and recreational activities.
• Provide enriching experiences through respite services that build confidence and social engagement
• Assist families in reducing dependency while ensuring a joyful experience for their loved ones

How to Enroll

• Book a Meet and Greet or Tour of our Facility through our Service Portal
• Schools or organizations can also submit referral form
• Submit your application through our Intake Form

Eligibility Criteria

• 16 years of age or older
• FMS under PDD or FSCD or Private funding
